http://alephoto.smugmug.com/Other/ A professional photographer for over 20 years, Alessandro De Sogos’ photography career actually started at the tender age of 19. He was in his native Sardegna island Italy Moved to Milan when his work was noticed by famed modeling agency, Riccardo Gay. Alessandro worked for them for four years fine-tuning his craft – specializing in fashion photography and portraits – before taking his talent on the road. In the ensuing years, his work has taken him to London to work with freelance photographers in commercial advertising, Buenos Aires to work with another modeling agency, Paris, and New York. It was during his time in New York that Alessandro paid his first visit to San Francisco and one visit was all it took to fall in love with the city. He found the famed city to be more relaxed, international in atmosphere, and open-minded. Three weeks after returning to New York, he came back to San Francisco to stay. Alessandro continues to photograph a wide variety of subjects. His portfolio includes corporate and commercial work (e.g. executive photos, corporate property landscapes), jewelry, portraits, and various creative projects. It is one of these projects that is taking center stage this year… a book capturing the spirit of some of San Francisco’s most charming personalities: the dogs of Crissy Field. Having been born on the island of Sardinia, Alessandro instantly felt at home at Crissy Field and was fascinated by its very special four-legged visitors. This collection shows off Alessandro’s talent for capturing moments and personalities and illustrating how a picture is worth a thousand words.
